The son of a former spy and career nurse, he first picked up a camera at 10 years old.
he wrote and directed 2 feature-length films before graduating high school, winning national film festivals and securing international distribution,
after attenting loyola marymount university’s film school as an albert r. broccoli scholarship recipient, and four time national association of television arts & sciences recipient, he wrote and directed his third independent feature film for $10,000, which was purchased by showtime networks.
he has directed studio narrative feature films, international documentaries, NATIONALLY BROADCASTED branded content, music videos for a-list artists and virtual reality experiences. previous clients: DISNEY, tubi, A+E NETWORKS, angels & airwaves, THE ROCKEFELLER FOUNDATION, BEACHBODY, NOSOTROS TEQUILA, make-a-wish foundation, musicares and TO THE STARS,
notably, from 2018-2021, he worked as a documentarian for to the stars academy & the History Channel’s series"UNIDENTIFIED: INSIDE AMERICA’S UFO INVESTIGATION" which recently made global news by changing the conversation in the U.S. government for procedures on military-sightings of UFOs, this directly helped move ufos from a fringe topic to a mainstream media issue.
last year he directed two feature-length films: “Magic Carpet rides” — a tubi original films romantic comedy; and “food 2050”— a feature documentary spanning 10 countries, which screened to world sustainability leaders at cop27 UN climate summit in Sharm al-sheikh, egypt november, 2022.
He is the co-founder of a boutique production company, the matts productions, llc, & a part-time lecturer at lmu film school.
He currently has multiple projects in development, and is represented by managers ryan saul and john tomko.
